Abstract

The behaviour of high performance concrete under water is of high relevance for the longterm and sustainable use of offshore wind power systems. In this contributi-on, a theoretical and numerical simulation model will be developed that allows the analysis of damage and fracture behaviour at microstructural level for dry and wet high performance concrete. In this analysis, especially fatigue behavior plays an important role due to the cyclic loading of the offshore structures. It could be shown that the developed simulation tools can predict the behavior of dry and wet concrete and compare well with experimental results. Hence this methodology can be employed for the design and construction of offshore concrete structures.
