Novel Metal-3D-Printing technology at IKM

We can now 3D-print with metal at IKM using Binder-Jetting technology. Metal powder is glued layer-by-layer at areas which resemble the final 3D-printed model, while loose powder supports the print. After hardening the glue, all loose powder is removed and the actual 3D-models are sintered. With this technology, it is possible to print complex and fine structures with different metals; in our case a gyroid-structure made of stainless steel.
