Prof. Wriggers among the top 20

A study from Stanford University evaluates publications from the SCOPUS literature database.

The SCOPUS literature database is one of the largest databases for scientific publications, including mathematics, medicine, and the natural and engineering sciences. Currently, based on this database, health scientist and statistician John P.A. Ioannidis of Stanford University has produced a study that ranks the two percent of the most cited scientists worldwide. Around 70 current and former researchers from Leibniz Universität Hannover are listed.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Wriggers, Institute of Continuum Mechanics, is among the top 20 in applied mathematics, making him one of two LUH scientists listed in the top 20 worldwide.

In total, Ioannidis evaluated publications and citations of scientists worldwide who have published at least five articles since 1960. Self citations were not considered.
