The IKM is one of the oldest institutes at the Leibniz Universität Hannover and has become an internationally renowned center for top-level research in the field of numerical mechanics over the years. Our research spectrum covers the central areas of modeling and algorithm development for the numerical simulation of systems and processes, which are becoming increasingly important in times of digitalization. We offer all important courses for this purpose so that students can optimally master the demands placed on engineers by digitalization. The IKM is involved in basic research and also serves as a partner for industry.
