- Abstract
Phase-field fracture models are employed to capture failure and cracks in structures, alloys, and poroelastic media. The coupled model is based on solving the elasticity equation and an Allen-Cahn-type phase-field equation. In hydraulic fracture, a Darcytype equation is solved to capture the pressure profile. Solving this coupled system of equations is computationally expensive.
