On Thursday the 23rd of April there has been the „Futureday“ at our institute. During this event there was the possibility for young pupils to get in touch with mechanics under the topic „What's mechanics – and can we catch a hold of it?“
The future engineers took a lesson on building bridges and other trusslike structures. After that they could built their own bridgemodels out of spaghetti.
In addition, the boys and girls were shown the differences between a real test and a simulation, in which a Cola-can was deformed.
Overall, it has been an awesome and successful day for us and the kids.
